Downtown Bolton Patio Pilot 2025

The Town of Caledon is launching a seasonal patio pilot program in Downtown Bolton from July 28 to October 3, 2025, to support small businesses and enhance the downtown experience.

What’s Happening?

Pedestrian access on the east side of Queen Street in Downtown Bolton will be extended into public parking spaces to accommodate patios and café seating during the summer months. The pilot will utilize three on-street parking spaces to create a pedestrian walkway, intended to support participating businesses by increasing outdoor seating and visibility, and adding vibrancy to the Downtown core.

 Patio Pilot Benefits

The patio pilot is part of a broader effort to:

  • Promote supporting local and enhancing business visibility
  • Encourage outdoor gathering and community engagement
  • Test a low-barrier approach to temporary patios
  • Create a more walkable, vibrant downtown

What Businesses Need to Know

Businesses in the pilot area are encouraged to participate!

There is no adjacent business consent required during the pilot period.
