In Q3 2025, the Town of Caledon’s Economic Development Office continued to advance business growth, investment readiness, and community collaboration across the municipality. Efforts focused on supporting local businesses, fostering entrepreneurship, and delivering initiatives that strengthen Caledon’s long-term economic resilience.

Business Engagement & Investment Activity

The Business Attraction and Investment team maintained proactive outreach through on-site business visits across industrial, commercial, and retail sectors. In total, 11 business visits were conducted to support retention, expansion, and investment planning. Q3 also saw strong development momentum, with 16 industrial and commercial permits issued, representing over $117 million in construction value.

Foreign Direct Investment

International engagement remained a priority, including a two-day visit from Biscotti Gentilini, an Italian food manufacturer first engaged during Caledon’s trade mission to Italy. Meetings with provincial partners, industry organizations, and site tours helped advance potential investment opportunities.

Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Through the Humber River Centre and DMZ partnership, Caledon continued to support local founders with one-on-one advisory services, expert introductions, workshops, and events. A new incubator cohort of 15 founders launched in September, reinforcing Caledon’s commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation.

Programs & Community Initiatives

The Seasonal Patio Pilot Program in Downtown Bolton supported local restaurants and cafés while enhancing streetscape activity and the visitor experience. Culture Days also delivered strong community and economic impact, drawing over 4,500 residents and visitors across all six wards.

Looking Ahead

As the Town moves into Q4 and 2026, the Economic Development Office remains focused on business retention and expansion, investment attraction, and innovation programming to support sustainable economic growth in Caledon.
