Caledon 2020-2030 Economic Development Strategy APR28Council
The Caledon 2020-2030 Economic Development Strategy provides a strategic roadmap adopted by the Town of Caledon in April 2020, guiding economic development and investment attraction efforts over the next decade.
The strategy sets out four key priorities: (1) Support an entrepreneurial and small business economy, (2) Focus on business retention and growth, (3) Improve quality of place, and (4) Enhance investment readiness.
It builds on a comprehensive situational analysis of the town’s economy, competitive strengths (such as its location within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and access to transportation infrastructure), and challenges (such as employment land supply and servicing).
The document includes action plans with short-, medium- and long-term initiatives—covering topics such as business support programs, downtown and village core revitalization, infrastructure readiness (including broadband), and enabling policies for innovation.
Whether you’re a small business owner, developer, investor or community stakeholder, this strategy is your guide to understanding how Caledon is positioning itself for growth, how to align your project with municipal objectives, and how to anticipate the kinds of support, programs or opportunities the Town may offer.
