Skin Sooo Lush Medi Spa offers facial treatments from holistic to medical and body contouring services with a focus on internal health and external beauty, connecting mind, body and soul. We recently asked owner, Stephanie Nuosci to tell us a little about the business, why she chose to open in Bolton and her future plans.
Tell us about your business.
SkinSoooLush Medi Spa opened just over six years ago. My intention is to provide clients with services that optimize skin health. For the first few months I was in business I operated inside of a hair salon, then I moved to Bolton and operated out of Plush Nail & Makeup Bar for just over five years.
I operate my skin clinic on my own and share my space with two practitioners running their businesses in treatment rooms.
I offer a range of facial treatments from holistic to medical and body contouring services. I focus on internal health and external beauty, connecting the mind, body and soul in each service I offer to elevate my client’s spa experience. I heal the skin through holistic facial modalities, vibrational energy, ancient tools, modern technology and whole-plant based skincare. By combining these different modalities, I am able to assist individuals, of all ages, with a variety of skin concerns.
My skin clinic is open Tuesday to Friday 9am to 7pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm.
Tell us about you, why did you decide to open your own business?
I have a deep passion for skin health. I wanted a place where clients could come and feel comfortable in their own skin with no judgement.
I focus on unfolding the root causes as to why the skin is manifesting in certain conditions. The visible imperfections appearing on the skin are a direct reflection of a block in the body. Until the root cause is known and healed, the skin will continue to manifest in an imbalanced state.
I decided to become my own boss because I was frustrated working at clinics that only focused on using prescribed creams or performing invasive treatments which left the skin compromised. I believe that using harsh topicals to treat the skin or performing very invasive treatments are a thing of the past. The skin needs to be healed and healing happens from the inside, out.
Why did you decide to locate in Bolton?
I located in Bolton because I liked the small-town idea.
Bolton did not have a skin clinic in the area per se, just day spas. I trusted that my business had the opportunity to grow in this community. The great thing about starting a business in a small town like Bolton is how quickly the word gets around. When people are happy with your service, word travels and that’s exactly what happened with my business and it has been growing ever since.
What is the best bit of wisdom you have learned along the way?
The best bit of wisdom that I have learned along the way is - good things take time. The famous saying ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ could not be more true for starting a business.
My parents operated their own business for decades and encouraged me along the way with the simple saying - ‘give time, time’ or ‘good things come to those who wait’.
I am very spiritual and do believe that the universe is always working for us. Put out there what you truly want and believe in. Show how passionate you are and let your inner being radiate. Chase after the things that set your soul on fire. Then sit back and watch the universe reward you. Everything that is meant for you will come your way. Everything that you want is on the other side of fear - step out of your comfort zone and watch how your life begins to shift.
What are your future plans?
My future business plans are simple, to keep my skin clinic at one location and always keep it feeling like a home away from home, for all of my clients to feel appreciated and loved when they visit.
I look forward to welcoming new clients into my space and offering them a healing side of beauty vs the traditional medical side.
