Carusi Hair Salon recently celebrated 20 years in business. We asked owner Albina Carusi to tell us about the business.
Tell us about the business.
Carusi Hair Salon offers a wide range of services for men, women and children, from cuts to colours and so much more.
We use top quality professional hair products such as Schwarzkopf, Maroccan Oil and Design Me and have amazing stylists that specialize in all different techniques.
My team of amazing experienced stylists is Charlene, Nancy, Lisa, Gurminder, and Laura. We are more than a team, we are family!
What about you, how did you end up owning your own business?
It was 20 years ago when the opportunity to open my own hair salon manifested.
It was a thought that had crossed my mind before, but I never imagined it coming true.
I was married with two children and working at a salon in Bolton when I heard there was an opportunity here in Caledon East. My husband Danny was very supportive and encouraged me to reach out to the landlord. And that was it, the dream came true.
Twenty years later I look back on that woman with two kids, pregnant with twins, and starting a new business, I still can’t believe that was me.
Being a mom and a businesswoman sure kept me busy but it’s all worth it.

Over the years we have overcome many obstacles including the pandemic. Thank you to the Town of Caledon and all my clients who have supported us throughout these years.
